Akre Brensa

The Akre Brensa, or the Brensatic League, is a collection of lands held by the city-state of Brensa.

The government is a balance of oligarchy and republicanism. Instead of a single monarch like most other civilizations of the Inner World, Akre Brensa has seven Judges, who wield total arbitration of the law. These are elected by the Senate of Brensa, which is divided into three chambers: the House of Commons, the House of Lords, and the Tribunal. The House of Commons consists of representatives directly elected by the people, whereas the House of Lords is composed of noble aristocrats who have formerly worked as bureaucrats and governmental officials. The Tribunal is also composed of aristocracy, but deals only with military and police matters.
